Greetings from Music City USA where Lis and I have just zipped the last zippers on our backpacks and can’t get another thing in there!  So much for minimalism!  We made the long drive from Laramie to Nashville in just over 2 days and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. Lisa continued on to Gatlinburg and Knoxville for a few days of family time and various appointments while I stayed here in Nashville with Richard & Poppy for some catch up time, and to do some more planning for the Kenya trip.

When you receive this post tomorrow morning, we’ll be doing last minute preparations for our afternoon departure to Nairobi .. about a 25 hour trip!  We would write a little more, but we’ll let a few pics represent the past 2 days since we’re pretty much too pooped to write much tonight.  Please keep us in your prayers … for good health, safe travels, and God’s guidance during our time and work and relationships while there in central Kenya.  We are so blessed to be going and to be involved with people & communities there that Poppy & Richard have been personally involved with for the past 18 years.  I’m sure we will be telling you a little more about the history and wonderful folks we’ll be spending time with via our posts once we’re there. (Not sure how available internet or electricity will be, but we will be posting as much as we can… )

God’s peace to you all … please spread the word to your friends to follow our upcoming month’s journey.  We may even be bringing back some cool stuff that we’ll be giving away to a couple of subscribers  … more on that later !

Our devotional this am could not have been more aptly timed …  and it’s never a surprise that it’s so.   (There’s a pic of it in the photos above).

With love and excitement –
